Puglia Frond is a guipure lace wedding dress, and guipure is the reason it looks like nothing else. Unlike ordinary lace, which sits on a fine net backing, guipure has no ground at all — the motifs are joined to each other and everything between them is open. On this gown that means large palm and fern fronds, cut heavy and sculptural, with bare space where the leaves do not reach.
Those open spaces are laid over sheer nude illusion mesh, so the lace reads as solid white shapes against skin. The effect from a distance is graphic and architectural; up close it is soft, because every frond is edged in a scalloped border rather than cut square.
The neckline is strapless, drawn into a sweetheart curve and finished with the same scalloped petal edge. The waist is fitted, the skirt carries real volume, and the whole thing sweeps into a long train that keeps the leaf pattern running all the way to the floor.

What Guipure Actually Is
Most bridal lace is appliquéd onto tulle: you see the motif and, behind it, a fine mesh. Guipure has no mesh.
